“The Trenton Times” and “The Press of Atlantic City” Offered by Ocean County Library

TOMS RIVER – Read the most recent issues of “The Trenton Times” and “The Press of Atlantic City” online with your Ocean County Library card. Free online access means no paywall blocking access and no need to recycle paper.

“The Trenton Times” is the premier publication for extensive coverage of New Jersey state government news. It also covers news from Mercer County and beyond, reaching central areas of New Jersey.

“The Press of Atlantic City” is one of the largest newspapers in the state and covers most of the Jersey Shore and southeastern New Jersey, including Atlantic County, Cape May County, Cumberland County, and Ocean County. “The Press of Atlantic City” also covers national and world news.

The online exact reproductions of the daily issues of the newspaper are available the same day of publication starting at 6 a.m. All the stories, images, ads, and comics are there.

To access the online newspaper, visit theoceancountylibrary.org, hover over the tab labelled “Books & More,” and click “Digital Materials.” Then select “The Trenton Times” or “The Press of Atlantic City” from the list of materials. Enter your library barcode number and start reading.

Digital back issues of “The Trenton Times” going back to 1883 can be located by hovering over the tab labelled “Resources,” then clicking “Databases.” Then use the search bar to search for “Trenton Times Historical Archive.” Once located, click “view,” and then “open database” on the popup window. “The Press of Atlantic City” is one of several hundred newspapers whose back issues are contained in America’s Newspapers.

If you still want to read the newspaper in the original newsprint, “the Trenton Times” is available at the Toms River and Plumsted branches. “The Press of Atlantic City” is available at the Troms River, Barnegat, Little Egg Harbor, Long Beach Island, Stafford, and Tuckerton branches.
