All branches of the Ocean County Library will be closed Friday, March 29, for Good Friday, and Sunday, March 31, for Easter Sunday.

“Charlotte’s Web” To Be Presented At Ocean County Library

TOMS RIVER – Children and adults will enjoy the classic story of “Charlotte’s Web” at the Toms River and Lacey branches of the Ocean County Library in August.

The 1952 children’s novel written by E. B. White and illustrated by Garth Williams, “Charlotte's Web” tells the story of a pig named Wilbur and his friendship with a barn spider named Charlotte.

A play adaptation of this classic will be presented by The Lacey River Teen Troupe directed by Kristine Angona Perry and written by Joseph Robinette. The performances are by special arrangement of the Dramatic Publishing Company and sponsored by the Ocean County Library Teen Services and the Friends of the Ocean County Library Toms River.

The first performance will take place 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1 at the Lacey Branch, 10 East Lacey Rd., 609-693-8566.

Another performance will take place 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3 at the Toms River Branch, 101 Washington St.,732-349-6200.

Each performance is free but registration is required. You can register by calling the branch or visit theoceancountylibrary.org.
