Become a Bonsai Gardener at the Ocean County Library Jackson Branch

April 21, 2023

JACKSON TOWNSHIP – The cultivation of trees and vegetation in miniature, known as bonsai gardening, turns horticulture into art.  Become acquainted with this fascinating technique in an Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Month program at the Ocean County Library Jackson Branch, 7 PM Thursday, May 18.

Steve Koebcke, President of the Middletown-based Deep Cut Bonsai Society, will discuss the history of bonsai, describe tree types, and offer tips for care and maintenance.

The Deep Cut Bonsai Society website contains articles about bonsai care, videos and still photos, blogs, and links to related information, organizations, and businesses. The group maintains the bonsai collection that was donated to Deep Cut Gardens.
