SURF CITY – Stock up on great beach reads and find listening and viewing bargains galore during the Friends of the Island Library’s Big Book Sale at the Ocean County Library Long Beach Island Branch, 9 AM until 4 PM Friday and Saturday, June 23 and 24.

Browse among gently-used hardcovers, paperbacks, and audio books, compact discs, and DVDs for all ages in the Branch meeting room. Transactions will be in cash only. All proceeds support the Friends of the Island Library, who contribute to Branch activities, sponsor fundraisers, and serve as community advocates.

Those wishing to join the Friends may obtain membership brochures and application forms during book sales, donation days, and sponsored programs. Annual membership fees are $5 for individuals, $10 for families, and $50 for businesses.  Applications are also available at http://theoceancountylibrary.org/oclfriends/membership.
