Find Inspiration in Starego’s Story during Ocean County Library’s 2022 Autism Resources Fair

April 11, 2022

TOMS RIVER – Anthony Starego, the autistic young man who demonstrated his football skill in Brick Township and beyond, tells his inspiring story during a virtual program at 7 PM Tuesday, May 10, as part of the Ocean County Library’s 2022 Autism Resources Fair.

Mostly nonverbal and highly sensitive to touch after life in 11 foster homes, Anthony was adopted at age 3 by Ray and Reylene Starego, and diagnosed autistic at a young age.

With love, dedication and work, he developed into a caring individual with a talent for football that brought him fame at Brick Township High School. Starego’s star rose higher when he became a place-kicking specialist for arena and minor-league teams.

Registration for Starego’s Story is required at www.theoceancountylibrary.org/events. Registrants will receive links to the Zoom presentation by email. Registrants who request professional development credits during signup will receive them after the program.

The 2022 Autism Resources Fair is made possible by a generous donation from the Ocean County Library Foundation. See the full schedule of events at www.theoceancountylibrary.org/autism.
