Health Programs Coming to Manchester Library

MANCHESTER – The Manchester Branch of the Ocean County Library will host two programs as part of the Chapters of Health program series.

“Keeping Your Grandkids Safe and Happy While in Your Care: the Holiday Edition” 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10. Discuss current trends in child safety in the home, outdoors, and on the road. Learn about this year’s hottest toys and how to select safe, age-appropriate gifts for young children. This program is sponsored by Safe Kids Monmouth/Ocean Counties.

“Blood Drive” 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29. The American Red Cross will host a blood drive in which your participation may help save lives. Walk-ins are welcome but appointments are preferred. To sign up, visit tinyurl.com/MALibraryBloodDrive.

Chapters of Health programs provide general information on health topics. The presenters are often professionals from local health-related organizations that have partnered with the Ocean County Library to help educate the public.
