Jazz Virtuoso Brian Betz to Perform at Toms River Library

TOMS RIVER – Critically acclaimed jazz guitarist, composer, and educator Brian Betz will perform American standards and original compositions at 2 p.m. Saturday, Mar. 30 at the Toms River Branch of the Ocean County Library.

Betz is on the faculty of Rowan University where he teaches jazz guitar and jazz improvisation. He also gives concerts, clinics, and master classes nationwide.

Betz holds two degrees from Rowan University and is endorsed by GHS guitar strings. He is a two-time winner of the Betty Carter International Jazz Competition and runner up in the 2006 Henry Mancini Jazz Competition.

This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Ocean County Library – Toms River Branch.

The branch is located at 101 Washington Street in Toms River.
