Learn About LGBTQA+ Primary Health Care at Ocean County Library Lacey Branch

LACEY TOWNSHIP –  The Ocean County Library Lacey Branch is pleased to mark Pride Month with a special presentation that highlights primary health care services tailored to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, intersex and asexual (LGBTQA+) community. “Locally Proud” will take place at 6:30 PM Thursday, June 22.

The program will be offered by the Promoting Respect, Outreach, Understanding and Dignity (PROUD) Center of Community Medical Center, Toms River.

Ashley Riker, Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Community Medical Center, will discuss health care disparities facing LGBTQA+ individuals, and how residents of Ocean County can receive services at the PROUD Center.

Located on the campus of Community Medical Center (Riverwood Plaza-Building 1), the PROUD Center offers emergency, laboratory, radiology, cardiology, oncology, and rehabilitative services, wellness exams, immunizations, screenings for HIV/HEP-C and STI, and more.
