TOMS RIVER – The Ocean County Library will host “Medicare 101: Aging In” at several branches throughout October.
“Medicare 101: Aging In” will provide an overview of Medicare and the aging process, including what Medicare is, who qualifies, how Medicare works with other insurance, Medicare parts A through D and supplemental policies, and how to decide which plan is best for you.
Attendees will learn the steps to prepare for the day they are eligible for Medicare.
This program will be presented by Horizon Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
“Medicare 101: Aging In” will take place at the following dates and locations:
Point Pleasant Borough Branch, 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, 834 Beaver Dam Road, 732-295-1555
Berkeley Branch, 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, 30 Station Road, 732-269-2144
Brick Branch, 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, 301 Chambers Bridge Road, 732-477-4513

The Point Pleasant Borough, Tuckerton, and Long Beach Island sessions will be followed by free screenings by a registered that will include health and wellness information, blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose screenings.
