Learn How to Acquire a Service Dog During Ocean County Library Autism Resources Fair 2021

TOMS RIVER – The Ocean County Library invites families and individuals to view a free virtual webinar, “How to Get a Service Dog,” 6:30 PM Tuesday, April 13.

The workshop is presented by Louise, Kim and Dennis Bratnick, volunteer puppy trainers for the nationwide nonprofit organization Canine Companions for Independence.

Founded in 1975, Canine Companions for Independence trains service dogs free of charge for people with disabilities.

The Bratnicks began volunteering after receiving their first skilled service dog in 2008. They offer free presentations for organizations throughout New Jersey.

Kim Bratnick, holder of a Bachelors’ degree in Psychology from Kean University, is employed by Rainbow Dreams Support Services. She also volunteers in teaching English Conversation at the Ocean County Library.

Louise Bratnick is retired from a distinguished career as a dental assistant. Dennis Bratnick is a computer draftsman for a civil engineering firm.
