Ocean County Library’s Social Media Schedule Lets You Be First to Know the Latest

TOMS RIVER – The Ocean County Library’s newest interactive and instructional programs and videos pop up regularly on its Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages. But when do they appear? OCL’s weekly schedule makes it easy to find your favorites.

New engaging, educational and entertaining posts appear each week. The Facebook and Instagram schedule includes:

  • Sparks’s Lab STEAM Challenge – Saturdays, 10 AM. Create a robot online and play a game with it. Embark on a blooming garden color hunt. Share screenshots of your original Minecraft® designs. A new challenge every week.
  • Young Adult Book Recommendation of the Week – Sundays, 8 AM. See the newest digital teen reads available through Libby, EBSCO®, RBdigital®, hoopla® and OverDrive®, and download them with your Library card.
  • Readers Services Book Recommendation of the Week – Mondays, 8 AM, beginning June 1. Get a rundown of the latest digital adult titles available through Libby, EBSCO®, RBdigital®, hoopla® and OverDrive®, and download them with your Library card.

Appearing twice weekly on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter:

  • Shore To View – Mondays, 10:30 AM and Thursdays, 2:30 PM. Interactive story times, sing-alongs, book recommendations, step-by-step handcrafting tutorials and much more in OCL’s ever-growing, original, Shore To Read, Shore To Sing and Shore To Craft video catalogues, all stored on OCL’s YouTube channel.

Web surfers will also find a great assortment of links to audio and video streams, reading challenges, learning aids, autism and special needs resources, business and legal help, online periodicals, LGBTQ+ support, the Library’s new Concierge Service and Museum Pass program, and many more offerings to be found at www.theoceancountylibrary.org.
