Ocean County Library’s Social Media Reach Brings New Dimension to National Library Week

TOMS RIVER – “Find Your Way at the Library” is the theme of National Library Week 2020, and the Ocean County Library’s social media outlets and website are increasingly helping visitors find their way to a wealth of digital services.

Since the start of COVID-19 precautions, OCL presence on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube have introduced web surfers to the Library’s storehouse of instructional and entertaining videos, educational tools, its free temporary library card program, COVID-19 updates, Census 2020 information, and downloadable eBooks, audiobooks and magazines.

The Library’s daily Facebook posts are reaching an average of 3,500 people each day. The posts reached more than 25,000 people during the first weekend of closure.
