LAKEWOOD – Officials of the Ocean County Library issued a decision to close the system’s Lakewood Branch at 1 PM Wednesday, July 27, and to continue the closure through Thursday, July 28.

The closure decision was reached, through an abundance of caution, for maintenance purposes, said Library Director Susan Quinn.

“We are assessing a situation related to the discovery of bed bugs in the book drops outside the Branch,” the Director said.

The Branch will undergo a thorough cleaning. Re-opening is scheduled for 9 AM Friday, July 29.
