TOMS RIVER –  While gathering valuable information, visitors at the Ocean County Library’s annual Autism Resources Fair will be able to pause, enjoy, and take home samples of the balloon artistry of Debby Pease in the Toms River Branch, 10 AM until 2 PM Saturday, April 15.

Debby owns and manages Lakehurst-based Premiere Picnics and Parties, now in its 31st year of operation. Her lively Facebook page attracts hundreds of followers.

Together with her daughter Molly, Debby teaches balloon art, magic, and juggling at various Ocean County Library branches. Molly is a familiar sight in clown garb at summer outdoor OCL events, juggling and riding a unicycle.

Debby also supplies costumed characters, glitter tattoos, face painting, and magic shows, and conducts Teddy Bear building events and pallet painting parties.

“I started [learning balloon art] when I was in high school,” said Debby, who later earned a college degree in business management. “I always loved making people happy, so it was natural to open my own company.”

Debby said that her job satisfaction is in placing smiles on people of all ages. “I love working with special needs children and adults. I have done many bear-building events for the Library with special needs adults and it is always so fun!”

The Autism Resources Fair is sponsored by the Ocean County Library Foundation. Registration is not required to attend this free event. To ensure seating for certain programs, registration at www.theoceancountylibrary.org/events is recommended.
