Ocean County Library Autism Resources Fair 2023: Sing and Play with Ms. Kat and SLP Musically

April 03, 2023

TOMS RIVER – Children and teens of all ability levels will have a fun and accessible experience singing and playing along with SLP Musically’s Ms. Kat during the Ocean County Library Autism Resources Fair in the Toms River Branch, Saturday, April 15.

No registration is required, and no experience is needed, to try adapted percussion instruments and sing in all ways, including through switches and other augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.

Ms. Kat, owner of Middletown-based SLP Musically, will provide a wide menu of children’s songs, modern pop, and originals, for performing in sing-along style. Ms. Kat is ASHA certified and a New Jersey licensed speech therapist.

Let’s make music together, and be sure to bring your AAC! A session for participants aged 3 to 12 will begin at 11 AM, and a session for everyone age 13 and up will start at 11:45 AM, in the Green Room.

The Autism Resources Fair is sponsored by the Ocean County Library Foundation. For more information, visit the Autism Resources Fair website, stop into the Toms River Branch, 101 Washington Street, or call (732) 349-6200.
