BRICK TOWNSHIP – Learn how to play the American Mah Jongg, in the comfort of your home. The Ocean County Library Brick Branch will present “Mah Jongg for Beginners,” a four-part virtual program starting at 10 AM Monday, May 3. 

The workshops will continue at the same time on May 10, 17 and 24. 

“Mah Jongg for Beginners” is geared for those new to the fun, sociable, competitive game. No experience is necessary to take part. 

Renowned expert Christine Blackford will explain the tiles, their function to the Charleston and National Mah-Jongg League rules, the terminology, and the yearly card. 

This free program is sponsored by Friends of the Brick Library. Registration is required and limited, and covers all four sessions. 

Participants should supply their own 2021 National Mah Jongg League card. Each will receive a Zoom link for the workshops by email.
