SURF CITY –  Improvements in the interest of patron and staff safety and comfort will keep the Ocean County Library Long Beach Island Branch closed briefly.

Branch operations concluded at 5 PM Wednesday, January 19, to allow maintenance crews to prepare for installation of a new heating system. We are anticipating re-opening the branch Friday, January 27. However, please note that date is subject to change. Please visit our website for up-to-the-minute information.

Patrons with items on hold, ready for pickup, who were notified prior to the branch closure, can collect their items at the Stafford Branch, 129 North Main Street, Manahawkin. Please call the Stafford Branch to confirm your items, (609-494-2480). Any newly requested items placed on hold at the LBI Branch will be ready for pickup upon reopening to the public.

Patrons are welcome to access the Library’s online resources, databases, eBooks, eMagazines, video and audio streams and digital classes, available continuously at www.theoceancountylibrary.org.
