Ocean County Library To Present “Let Freedom Sing” At Stafford Branch

STAFFORD – The Ocean County Library will offer a Key Arts production of “Let Freedom Sing” at the Stafford Branch, 129 N. Main St. 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16.

This inspirational and engaging multi media performance explains how music can move and motivate people to action.

Historical film footage and narrative will feature a journey through the music of Marvin Gaye, Bob Dylan, The Staple Singers, Curtis Mayfield and voices who provided a soundtrack for a revolution. Attendees can sing along and learn about the power of songs that protesters sang as they fought for justice and equality.

This program is sponsored with funding from an OceanFirst Foundation Arts and Cultural Grant and the Ocean County Library Foundation.
