Ocean County Library Stafford Branch to Undergo Cleaning

October 31, 2021

Stafford – The Stafford Branch of the Ocean County Library will undergo cleaning beginning Tuesday, November 2.

Beginning Election Day, Tuesday, November 2, the upper level of the Stafford Branch will be cleaned and will reopen on Wednesday, November 3.

The lower level of the building will be closed on Wednesday, November 3 for cleaning. The work is scheduled to take 2-3 days to complete.

“The Ocean County Library is proactive in immediately addressing water issues and does due diligence in maintenance of the building including ongoing remediation and cleaning protocols,” said Susan Quinn, Ocean County Library Director.

“This includes a recent indoor air quality study done at the Stafford Branch by TTI Environmental, Inc., Moorestown, NJ who is certified for mold testing and inspection.”

Quinn said the report indicated overall conditions in the building are acceptable. “There is one area in the basement that is elevated and a few areas that need surface cleaning. This work will be done by a certified remediation company.”

According to Quinn there is no need to close the building as per TTI Environmental, Inc.

After the building is cleaned it will be re-tested.
