Program on the Stonewall Uprising Coming to Toms River Library

TOMS RIVER – The Toms River Branch of the Ocean County Library will host “The 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising with LGBT Activist Mark Segal” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1.

Mark Segal will share his story of being present at the Stonewall Uprising that propelled him into 50 years of LGBT activism. The program will also include a book sale and signing.

Mark Segal is the founder of the Philadelphia Gay News and author of “And Then I Danced: Traveling the Road to LGBT Equality.”

Funding for this program is provided by the Friends of the Ocean County Library.

The branch is located at 101 Washington Street.
