LONG BEACH ISLAND – The Ocean County Library will host various events at its Long Beach Island Branch in September.

“Easter Rising to Lasting Peace” 1 p.m. Monday, September 10. Professor Ken Kochan will investigate the development of Ireland from the Easter Rising in 1916 to the peace treaty in Northern Ireland in 1997. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Island Library.

“Essential Oils 101” 6 p.m. Monday, September 10. Learn about essential oils: what they are, their benefits, and how to use them safely and effectively.

The branch is located 217 S. Central Ave, Surf City.
