100 Prizes for 100 Years

Until September 1, 2025

Attend a program in-person at any Ocean County Library branch from January to September 2025 and receive a ticket to be entered into a monthly drawing for some amazing 100th Anniversary library swag! Prizes will be drawn monthly from January to September 19, 2025.

There is no limit to programs attended and contest entries. After each drawing, remaining tickets will carry over to the next month's raffles. This contest is open to all ages at all program types. For more details, please visit your local branch.

The Ocean County Library is excited to announce the arrival of three new limited edition library card designs celebrating our 100th anniversary in 2025. These new cards are available to new and existing customers at all Ocean County Library branches while supplies last.

New Borrowers:

The following people are eligible for a free card:

Ocean County residents
Ocean County Business owners
Ocean County teachers and librarians with proof of employment
Ocean County students
Burlington County residents*
Monmouth County residents*

*Ocean County Library has reciprocal borrowing with Burlington County Library and Monmouth County Library. For more information, as well as our digital library card application, click here.

Existing Cardholders:

Those who already have an Ocean County Library card are welcome to get a free 100th Anniversary replacement card at any library location.

100 Years of Ocean County Library: A Historical Banner Exhibit 1925 – 2025

Take a stroll down memory lane with us! Visit the Toms River Branch from May 20 – June 20 to view our Historical Banner Exhibit featuring the history of Ocean County Library. Banners include short histories on each of our 21 locations along with other Ocean County Library highlights and facts from over the years.

The unveiling will take place on Tuesday, May 20th at 3pm in the Atrium of the Toms River Branch. After June 20th patrons can visit the branches to view their banners at their respective locations.
